Scientists have calculated the contribution of asymptomatic carriers to the spread of coronavirus
MOSCOW, July 7, FederalPress. Modeling showed that in the world there are from 17 to 30.8% of asymptomatic carriers.

Scientists from the United States and Canada have calculated how asymptomatic carriers contributed to the incidence of coronavirus infection. According to researchers, latent patients are responsible for more than 50% of cases of transmission of COVID-19.
To make such a conclusion, scientists had to build a detailed transmission model of coronavirus. The entire population of the earth was divided into 9 categories: susceptible, in the incubation period, pre-symptomatic, asymptomatic, symptomatic with a mild or severe course of the disease, recovered and dead, and also into five age groups. For each, an approximate number of daily contacts was calculated, writes RIA Novosti.
Modeling showed that in the world there are from 17 to 30.8% of asymptomatic carriers. And if you can’t find them and isolate them before recovery, you can’t talk about victory over the epidemic. Therefore, scientists urged countries to introduce stringent measures to prevent the spread of infection.
