One student's harrowing back to school experience: 'I just can't do this

One understudy's nerve racking back to class understanding: 'I can't do this'

Annie Gaughan was distinctly on her second day at the College of Iowa's grounds when she tried positive for COVID-19 and had to move to Currier Corridor, the grounds' isolate quarters. While the college professes to have gone through months cleaning scholarly structures and home lobbies, Gaughan said that care appeared to have been absent from the room she was given. She saw rust on the sink and residue on the sleeping cushion. The following morning, she got up to ants in her covers.

While she needed to return home, her folks, she stated, are in a CDC-perceived high-chance classification. So she booked a lodging in Naperville, Illinois, going by transport, where she's been for as long as week.

"They are telling understudies and guardians they are set up for COVID, yet they lied. They are not," Gaughan composed. "I truly trust that the college advances to online now since they are not set up for understudies who test positive for COVID."
