Tesla sweetens the purchase of a new electric vehicle with the full autonomous driving test for free

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is making marketing moves on Twitter as we approach the final days of 2020. receive three months of the mode full autonomous driving from the company at no charge. Access to the software, which remains in beta and is not complete, typically costs an additional $ 10,000 just to experience it.

All new Teslas come with a form of the firm's autopilot system, a partially automated Tier 2 technology in the SAE range scale, but Full Self-Driving hopes one day to live up to its name. The company released the technology to limited groups of drivers earlier this year and plans to expand the invitations to those who paid for the option to take advantage of the features. Even Tesla says the system can do the wrong thing at the wrong time, so it's definitely not ready for hands-free driving, but many owners found it to work well with lots of supervision.

To take advantage of Musk's latest flash deal, buyers need to complete all documents and receive delivery by December 31 at midnight, so it's probably best to buy Teslas currently in stock if you really want the Free Driving. We heard earlier this month that Tesla authorized its staff to roll out free Supercharging once again for anyone buying a new EV as the automaker pushes for record deliveries in 2020.

We won't know if the tactics worked until early in the year. next year, but Musk is something of a master at encouraging fans to buy when it counts.
